A demonstration site — this practice and its clinicians are not real.

What the booking form keeps about you, what it never asks, and how long it is kept.

Nobody is on the other end of this. This is a demonstration website. Woodside Psychotherapy is not a real practice and has no connection with any real practice in Woodside or anywhere else. The clinicians are invented, nobody here holds or claims a license, no therapy is provided, nothing booked here reaches anybody, and every picture on the site was generated. It was built to show what a practice's own website and booking calendar can look like; the booking system genuinely works, against a database, on this subdomain.

What the booking form collects, and why

The form asks for what an appointment needs, and nothing else.

  • Your name and how to reach you

So the practice can confirm the time and get in touch about it.

  • Who you would like to see, what kind of session, and when

So the calendar can offer a time that clinician is really free, in person or by video.

  • A few statements to tick

The statements that apply to your booking, quoted below. They are the only things the form asks beyond the details above.

  • I am 18 or older, and this appointment is for me (or for me and my partner or family).
  • I am the parent or legal guardian of the teenager this session is for, and I will give consent to treatment at the first appointment.
  • I will be physically in New York State during video sessions.
  • I understand this website is not an emergency service. If I am in danger I will call 911, and in a crisis I can call or text 988.
  • It's fine to leave a voicemail or text that names the practice.

Nothing clinical online. This form asks only for what an appointment needs: your name, how to reach you, who you'd like to see, what kind of session and when. It never asks why you're coming — that conversation is for your clinician, not for a website — and nothing you type here is shared with an advertiser, a tracker or anyone outside the practice.

What it never asks

  • Why you are coming, or anything about your health.
  • Your date of birth: that goes in the practice's client portal, never through this website.
  • A card number, or any payment.

Nothing on this website can tell you what is going on for you. A diagnosis, where one is needed, comes from a clinician who has met you — never from a page, a quiz or a booking form.

No card on this website. Nothing is paid on this website. The call is free, and a session is paid at or after it, by card, cash, check or an HSA or FSA card, through the practice — never online here.

No trackers, no pixels, no analytics

We do not put a tracker, an advertising pixel or anybody else's script on any page.

There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel, and no script from anybody else. Nothing about your visit is passed to an advertiser.

How long it is kept

  • A booking enquiry that never became a client

Deleted 90 days after its call.

  • A client's record

Once you are a client, what the practice keeps about you lives in the practice's own records system, not on this website, and it is kept for as long as the law says: records are kept for at least six years, and a minor's until at least one year after they turn twenty-one.

What the e-mails say

The e-mails the booking system sends are neutral. They say when your appointment is and who it is with, never what kind of help it is or why you are coming, so that nothing private shows in an inbox or on a lock screen.

Every e-mail ends with the crisis information, so that it is in front of you when the practice is closed.

If you need help now. If you're in danger right now, call 911. For a mental health crisis, call or text 988 or chat at 988lifeline.org, 24 hours a day; veterans can call 988 and press 1. You can also text HOME to 741741. Our phone and messages are not monitored outside office hours, and this website is not an emergency service.
